Emergency Bulkheads/Stoplogs

The Army Corps of Engineers awarded Vigor the contract to fabricate the emergency bulkheads/stoplogs for Emsworth Lock and Dam on the Ohio River. The structures are fabricated from aluminum and designed to hold back the flow of water. Vigor prepared detailed drawings and a comprehensive build plan in its role as general contractor. The parts were over 100 feet in length and advanced machining and fabrication methodology was applied to meet the stringent requirements for reliable operation and sealing out water.
